Was woken up today by mi madre at 8:30AM because she wanted to tell me she was staying home to hang out with me today. That was great and all but this was all a spur of the moment thing so I had to cancel plans with Sir Bry-Bry. I was really looking forward to seeing him outside of Skype so I was a pretty sad as I rolled over to go back to sleep until noon. Banh Cuon Tay Ho filled a little bit of the void from not hanging with Bry-Bry. Yay. Mommy got sad when we couldn’t find UP in 3D for our new TV though. Un-yay. I’m hungry again. Super un-yay.
Cute matching, couple-y gifts. I don’t think anyone can ever go wrong with those. However, as a chick that gushes over even the smallest of gifts and is currently feeling rather lonely, it sucks to be the one buying them. There’s just something about the smell of Stater Bros. that I just don’t like. It’s not a grocery store smell. No. It’s only Stater Bros. that seems to have this smell that I just am disgusted by. I’m not even sure how to describe it! It’s kind of like an old chicken dinner smell mixed with sweat, moldy but not yet rotten cheese, hints of bleach, with a Windex undertone. I only go to two Stater Bros. so it may just be these two but I went today and tried to identify the smell for the first time ever after countless trips. I’m weird…
There’s just something about white sneakers that I don’t like. Like the smell of Stater Bros., I just can’t pinpoint it. Are they just too clean? Too empty looking? I’m not sure but I think the only sneakerhead that I would consider, with white sneakers on, is Pauly D. Day-um, bro…
Based on my parents’ reaction when I told them that I wanted to go away to UCSD for college, I assumed that studying abroad was totally out of the question. I was pleasantly surprised today when I mentioned studying in Italy some time in my third year and my mommy supported the idea. She even said that she was glad that I was considering it and asked if there were any brochures she could look at. Man, that was cool. I wonder if things will go as well as this when I mention something like…how I still have to buy another set of textbooks that cost around $100.
Three things I noticed about this picture: her eyes, her tattoo, and her corset. This triggered three thoughts/questions: Am I satisfied with my natural eye color? How long will it take to get my tattoo consultation, sketch, and inking done? Do I really want to keep my corset-inspired belt or use that money to buy something else? Overall, yes, this is a very good shot of Rihanna, yes.
WHERE CAN I BUY THESE OR HOW DO I MAKE THESE?! I think these are awfully adorable! I think I just like them that much more because they’re pink but I still would like to know if I can buy/make these in different colors. I think prettier food tastes better, once a person gets past the reluctance to eat something so artfully put together anyway.
I wish I could take some friends from home-home to La Jolla with me. All it took was a couple hours with these babies to make me remember why I didn’t drop out of high school, why my fondest memories were in classrooms, how I made it through less enjoyable moments. Knowing people like these makes me wanna go paint La Jolla red with them! I’ll even consider driving! I HATE DRIVING!
After giving up sriracha sauce for Lent, my taste buds feel like they’re revitalized or something. Everything this week has tasted extra good. It’s like my taste buds are helping me kick the addiction by trying to convince me that I can enjoy foods without it.That’s very sweet/sour/salty/bitter of them.
Twister bed sheets. Now that, my blog, is interesting. I’ve always wanted the Twister beach towel but this is probably closer to the size of the regulation game board! I think I can make these sheets but I still wouldn’t have the actual Twister board game…I don’t know why I don’t already have it when I loved it so much when I was younger.
