GRAUDIUM, ADEO MIHI

Katy Perry is definitely a favorite of mine. She went back to her high school for a private concert and dedicated Ur So Gay to the popular boy that never gave her a chance. I love how she recognized him in the crowd, called him out, and told him off. “You sure chose right, honey.” I’m so glad someone in the crowd got this on camera cause none of the major tabloids caught it until this. Damn, I should have posted this earlier to beat Yahoo!’s homepage article about it…SCREW YOU AND YOUR SLOW ENTERTAINMENT NEWS, YAHOO!.

I really appreciate it when businesses apologize for less than regulation-standard service. Today I checked my account for a recent transaction, since I can now, and noticed that there was a message pertaining to that system maintenance. They apologized for the inconveniences and clearly explained what was going to happen to transactions interrupted by this. How schweet of Chase!

THANKS, LOVE!<3

Now that I have unlimited text, I can have indefinite conversations and wake up to interesting continuations to those conversations. This was one of them and thank God I have that phone screenshot app so I can save memorable texts on my blog! I saved this particular one because I thought it was abnormally sweet and understanding. I love it when people understand what I mean when I say I’m going to “whore around.” It’s not the extremely explicit definition people tend to assume. I’m sure buddy would hate me for posting this but he knows I love him. Luh yu, schlut.

I don’t think I’m the only one that just jumps to the worst possible scenario when things are unclear. Elle Magazine’s newest series of covers features Megan Fox, Lauren Conrad, Amanda Seyfried, and Gabourey Sidibe. The first three covers feature the women up (Or down) to their waist. Gabourey’s cover not only feature less of her body but her skin looks significantly lighter than it usually is in photography. People geek but the reality of it is, the type of lighting used also contributes to whitewashing, especially if the intention is a white background. Beyonce’s L’oreal ad a couple years back had the same issue. Even though it’s very possible that the editor of the photos intentionally lighten Gabourey and Beyonce’s skin, the type of lighting does contribute to how complexions appear in print. The worst scenario is that this was the work of Photoshop because it would raise criticism about the magazine’s racism but the worst isn’t always the reality. I experienced being wrong when assuming the worst first-hand recently, maybe Elle critics are next.

When I was cheating and prematurely looking through my memory box, I thought about all the things I learned in high school. There are things I am definitely not proud of but I walked away, sometimes crying, having learned important lessons. Then I saw Yahoo!’s Movie Talk article 5 Life Lessons From High School Movies. How coincidental! I want to watch Easy A for more lessons so I don’t screw up in college like I did in high school.

I think I have everything I NEED ready to set up in my dorm. I think I’d be okay with just the things I have already put aside. I just started packing my clothes and I’m getting my toiletries Saturday night before I leave. I’m not worried about the necessities, I’m just worried about space for my knick-knacks. I’m in a very “cozy” triple and I don’t want to clutter up the place. I think I’m going to allow myself a couple more memorabilia…Just a couple…I CAN’T WAIT TO MOVE IN!

I didn’t catch one, but TWO episodes of The Big Bang Theory on CBS today! It made me very happy not only because it’s just a great show but also because it reminds me of adventure number one. I even got to tell one of my roommies about the plan today and I learned more about her that way! Watch out! I have another CB in my life now!

Seeing some of the babies tomorrow. I think it’ll be just lovely, regardless of the simplistic plans. It’s always been that way and I just love it. No money has to be spent, no laws have to be broken, nothing! I love that even though we’re becoming adults, we can still do the most childish of things and still have a blast. I’m going to miss people, no doubt. They’re the reason why I worry about getting home as often as I can.
